Pickering Pedestrian Bridge

Mount Everest and Ontario’s Pickering Pedestrian Bridge are both Guinness World Record holders!

At 250 metres, Pickering Pedestrian Bridge is the longest enclosed pedestrian bridge in the world.

Opened in September 2018, the bridge significantly enhances access to the GO station by efficiently directing traffic from the Pickering Town Centre and other destinations north of the 401. After dark, the bridge comes alive with nearly 300 LEDs highlighting the iconic architecture. The interior of the structure is never dark and pedestrians are always visible.
